Finally Some Peace and Quiet

The quiet stars glittered down on the small town nestled in for bed. The streets were empty, the cool darkness settling on the cobblestone. A lone figure emerged from the surrounding trees like a ghost, steps so light it was almost like she was gliding. Piercing through the night was a bright beacon of hope, the lights inside seeping through the windows and illuminating the murky air around it. She cast her eyes away from the building and up to the satin sky above. A sliver of a moon hung above the world, its minuet form allowing the dusky night to reign. She turned around, not seeing anything else but knowing they were there. She softly called to them, her voice carrying through the hushed world like a snake. “Hold on and I’ll get us a room. Don’t come any closer until I open the window.” A small shadow separated from the rest, slithering up the girl’s form. Her hand reached up and gently petted the Snivy’s head. “Of course you can come, Fleur,” she whispered, slinking away from the forest and towards the lit-up building.

It didn’t take long to get a safe room. This late at night everyone else would be asleep and the nurse on duty didn’t want her to wake them up. The overall consideration landed Vi a room empty of other Trainers. Good, because two other people would be staying with her. She crept over to the window, carefully wiggling it open. She stuck her head outside into the cool night, her eyes quickly adjusting to the change in light. It was luck that earned her a room facing the area where she had been standing not long ago, but luck was a thief’s game. She gestured to the unseen people hiding in the thicket, knowing that at they’d see her silhouette against the illuminated background. She retreated back inside, making herself comfortable on the edge of the bed while she awaited her companions.

OOC: GOOD ENOUGH? SURE, WHY NOT.

She wasn't sure this was such a good idea. Hanging out with the people who destroyed her house... But she had no where else to go. And... And she'd always wanted to travel. This was as good a chance as any...

Rain's mismatched eyes flicked up as the girl with the Snivy motioned for them to approach. She grabbed Mattie, who clung instantly to her clothes. She couldn't help but squeak in surprise as her wrists were grabbed. Suddenly she was in the air, and she felt her stomach drop, her eyes huge with sudden fear. If her body hadn't tensed up, she might have fallen to her death by wriggling free of Jayden's grasp, but she stayed put. Thankfully.

She all but kissed the floor as she landed in the room, her tail bushed up and her ears flat on her head. Mattie gently prodded at her face, confused by his trainer's behavior.

The Dewott was plagued by a void of despair at losing his master. Interestingly enough, nothing of a similar nature had ever happened before. Then again, it’d just have been a matter of time. He’d known that one day he wouldn’t be able to prevent the lunatic from getting himself into trouble like this.

Vorpal glanced up at the moon, nothing but a thin, wispy silver scratch in the sky. He sighed, finding no comfort in even his element’s master. Allowing his tail to drag along the ground, he nudged himself through a fern, lacking a reaction as the leaves smacked him in the back. He gave a slight grumble as the peppy Victini human raised her voice above a whisper. Was everything a joke to her?

But he had to admit; the girl had definitely been a huge help. Vorpal thought he’d ought to lighten up. The agile Dewott easily scaled the wall and various window sills in order to reach the opening in which they slipped through with moderate silence, like ocean water being sucked into the cracks of a trench wall.

Yes, it looked like they were all being sucked into the inky blackness of the unforeseen future…

Vi covered her face with a hand at the Victini girl’s lack of understanding of being quiet. Why did she even bother staying with these idiots? They’re the ones that got her into this mess, not her. Well, technically the other girl got pulled into because of Vi’s great plan. She sat on the edge of one of the beds, watching the comical reaction of Rain kiss the floor. At the sight of the Dewott climbing in she sighed, “Guys, we need a plan to get that poor fool back.” The poor fool being Lux, who was kidnapped by that flying abomination.
