Something sure smelt strange... And familiar. It was weird. Her nose twitched as she took in a few short breaths, sniffing the air. Hm.. What was is...? Her ears perked, eyes locking on the ceiling just before a figure busted through it. What the--! Jayden leaped back, taking cover behind, well, nothing. Her whole body shook as the cloud of dust began to clear, her eyes stinging and slightly watering. Wait, was that mister grumpy pants? The one the other two were running from?

It probably was.

"Who are you?" Here voice wavered slightly, but she didn't care. The dragon boy looked familiar, but she couldn't remember where she saw him. Oh, think, think, think...

Vi launched herself back a few feet out of habit, used to being on the edge from her life of thievery. Of course, now from this farther back position, she kind of regretted. Being right behind that bastard might have given her the chance to snap his neck. Oh well, that wasn’t the worst thing that’s happened to her today.

Others might not be so lucky. With cold vengeance, the Snivy leapt off her Trainer’s shoulder. “Fleur, no!” she gasped, reaching forward for the Pokémon. Too late. A slim green whip struck out at Kane, speeding straight for his head.

A hand shot up, blocking the vine on its way to the target. Teeth buried into the plant skin, sending pain reverberating along the nerves. Though she hardly noticed it in the time it took Kane to lash the vine, sending Fleur hurtling into the wall. She collapsed onto the floor, grimacing from the impact. “Wow, that was piti—Gah!” He snarled, barring his teeth at the Dewott he wasn’t even facing. He clamped a hand on Vorpal’s shoulder, not bothering to look as he flung the Pokémon over the back of the couch. Damn, he’s annoying as Hell.

A girl scrambled over to the aid of the boy still trapped under him. Killer eyes narrowed, studying the strange gijinka with intense curiosity. Where in the world did this one come from? As far as he knew, she didn’t come from his people. He sneered, “Well as you see. . .”

He stopped himself, turning his head deliberately slow. He locked eyes with the Victini gijinka. His quarry. He rose to his full height, towering at almost six feet tall. “I’m hurt,” he said with mock sadness, placing a hand over his cold heart. A devilish grin creept across his face.

“I mean, I know you. . .A494.”

Lux swallowed hard, grimacing at the taste of what had appeared to have been pills of some sort. Why would Vorpal be stuffing pills into his mouth? His chest tried to move in order to collect air, but was forced to stop under the weight of the gijinka bastard fuckface from hell.

"The hell is going on!" Lux shouted, still only being able to see a foggy gray through eyes to match. His scowl grew more prominant, but opened into a gape of surprise as he heard Vorpal's cry out angrily.

"Wait, you guys have numbers!?" He added, pointing out the most least crucial thing possible.

"WRAAAAH!" Vorpal screeched upon being thrown. Having anticipated this, he turned himself around in order to meet the wall with the cold hard smack of his feet, pushing off of it with the energy from Kane's throw. Vorpal launched back toward him, ready to Razor Shell the shit out of this guy.

Rain's eyes got even bigger, starting to shiver in fright as the stranger tossed the Pokemon away. She moved to scoop Mattie up, scared of letting him fight, but the bear was on the move, running up to the new person and trying to take a chomp out of his leg.

The Eevee, worried for her pokemon, looked up at the mention of some numbers, tilting her head. Confusion filled her gaze. "Wh-what?" she asked, looking at the Victini.

When had this day become so strange? She'd only intended to leave the house for a minute, and when she came back everyone and their uncle had gathered here. And now her house was wrecked, too...

PostSubject: Re: Hansel and Gretel   Hansel and Gretel - Page 2 EmptySat Sep 08, 2012 9:52 am

How... How did he know that number? The Victini began visibly trembling, taking a few steps back until her back was against the wall. How did he know...? She took a few more sniffs of the air, picking out the dragon's scent among every other scent that hung around. Human, Pokemon, medicine... Lab coats... The... The head scientist... Jayden whimpered as flashes of her time at the laboratory entered her mind. No, just... No...

"They... They kept me away from you... And the others." Her eyes darted between the humans and the gijinkas. She really didn't want to have to explain at this point in time, but it would be better than the other experiment doing it. "Yes, we have numbers." Swallowing a portion of her fear, she took a step away from the wall. She was still trembling, but it wasn't heard in her voice. Most of the time. She searched her brain for a short moment before speaking again. "Experiment #A635..." Yeah, that was it. Right?

"Dragon man and I aren't naturally made. We're freaks of nature created by Team Plasma. They gave us a number upon experimentation. Most of us don't live, but we were some of the few who survived. Made to be the greatest of the soldiers, the Plasma boss was aiming to make a special team in his growing army of people with the abilities of Pokemon--us." She bit down on her lip, eyeing Kane warily. "But, I didn't want to be the one who gave everyone even more power than they already had, so I escaped. And they've been hunting me down ever since, which was why we were chased after by the grunts earlier."

Hansel and Gretel - Page 2 Empty
PostSubject: Re: Hansel and Gretel   Hansel and Gretel - Page 2 EmptySat Sep 08, 2012 8:09 pm

The blonde girl dove out of the way of the tossed away Dewott, further distancing herself from the others and her Pokémon. She opened her mouth, inhaling a breath meant for profane mutterings, only to wheeze it back out at a shocking sight. Vorpal was. . .probably about to need saving again.

A tick of foreboding buzzed around his heightened senses, Kane’s black and red eyes flickering towards what was coming for him from behind. With inhuman speed, he pivoted on a foot, the other arching until it collided with the incoming Pokémon. Suddenly, his eyes flashed when Fleur decided to jump back into the action. Her vines shot out, snaking around the leg supporting him. With all her strength, she pulled back, yanking his foot from underneath him. He snarled, his wings giving a mighty beat, keeping him from hitting the ground. He grabbed the vine, the mouth on his palm furiously biting into its green skin. Fleur hissed, retracting her vines from his grip.

Triumphant, Kane shifted his attention back to the Victini girl, grinning as she said his identification number. Though, it soured when she called him “dragon man”. He twitched. Seriously? He crossed his arms, scowling at her. God, did she love to talk, or something? Yak yak yak. Spewing her life’s, and a bit of his’, stories. He pointed a hand in her general direction, snapping, “Oh, just shut up already,” before firing a Dragon Pulse.

PostSubject: Re: Hansel and Gretel   Hansel and Gretel - Page 2 EmptyFri Sep 14, 2012 9:39 pm

Hehe. Maybe she had said a little too much. You know how girls can get. Too late to take it all back now because there was a pulse heading her way. Taking a step back, she was forced up against the wall that she had forgotten was there. Well, crap! Um, um... What could she do to not get killed? Wait, she could also use moves, duh. Jayden bit down on her lip, tensing as she waiting for the impact. The dragon pulse was just as she expected: painful. She waited it out, allowing the move to die down before relaxing her muscles. She quickly assessed the damage. There were cuts and bruises, but nothing major. That wasn't what she could say for the wall. So, how did she survive something that might have killed anyone else? Endure, duh. Such a low level move, but it was worth it.

Hissing in pain, she shook her body and flexed her wings. "They sure gave you a bunch of steroids." Her body shook slightly from her lowered health. Could she use potions on herself? Or maybe a Pokemon Center... Heh, she would have to test it out later. Now it was her turn. The Victini blinked, her blue eyes glowing white. She lifted her hands, the glowing white beginning to outline various objects inside the house. The objects, namely some chairs and a table, lifted into the air, soaring towards Kane. Confusion. Eh, why not? Sticking low level so she didn't accidentally burn down the house.

Hansel and Gretel - Page 2 Empty
PostSubject: Re: Hansel and Gretel   Hansel and Gretel - Page 2 EmptySat Sep 15, 2012 10:42 pm

Vorpal gave an enraged scream upon impact, creating a small crater from which he fell out of in the wall and hit the floor with a sick crack. Breathing ragged, Vorpal struggled to pick himself up, his entire body aching with the remaining force of the collision. Blindingly white pain roared in his side, making him feel the strong urge to upchuck. Cold hot waves of pain rattled throughout his ribs and stung his small body. Eyes widening, he felt his sides for cracked ribs; luckily, there was nothing of the sort.

One eye closed and his teeth clenched, he caught the glint of glass. It was smooth and untainted with the splintery cobwebs of broken glass that could be found scattered across the room. Taking a closer look, he found that it was one of the two vials that had come with Lux's brown bag. He grasped it in a small shaking fist, bringing it right up to his face. Little clear spheres only a couple millimeters in diameter clinked around inside. Curious, Vorpal used his teeth to undo the stopper, the forceful action causing a couple to rocket out of the vial and on to the floor.

The Dewott sniffed the little bead-like spheres, finding that they had no smell in particular, but upon closer inspection, carried a slight cold, clear refreshing smell. Getting the feeling that they could possibly help him, he lapped a few up with a quick pink tongue. Sudden cold erupted within his mouth as he crushed one of the spheres with his molars. He could feel small ice crystals begin to develop as the frigid air within his mouth began to freeze the moisture. Ice pellets, ice in a form in which it was without temperature and could not melt until crushed, amplifiers used to teach Pokemon how to use ice moved that centered around the mouth.

Concentrating hard, Vorpal glared at Kane through pain-stricken eyes, water molecules from his body leeching through his mouth to gather and form into droplets, which formed into a mouthful of water. One thing led to another as he chomped down hard on the rest of the ice pellets, their cold interior quickly freezing the water inside his mouth. Frost began to collect on the fur around his jaws, frozen little droplets clinging to his whiskers. Drawing the rest of his power, he released a haywire Ice Beam, focusing on Kane alone.

Lux's vision began to fade from gray to black again. Panicking slightly, Lux knew that he couldn't afford to be unconscious for this, but it was happening anyway. In a few moments, he found that it was extremely difficult to panic. In fact, the darkness had begun to lap at all of his emotions and feelings, sapping them from his body and forcing them to disappear within his mind. Darkness muffled his senses, and his muscles went limp as his conscious self retreated into the void, trading places with unconsciousness.

Gone.

All gone.

Spark.

Kane’s evil grin grew at the delight of causing the girl pain. “Hah,” he snorted, “what a weakling.” He held his arms out, gesturing condescendingly at Jayden. “Look at you, a legendary, and you’re barely standing after one measly Dragon Pulse,” he taunted, making disappointed tsking noises. Smirking, he whipped around, purple fire springing forth from the mouths on his hands. The Dragon Breaths consumed the wood in an instant, changing the flying objects into harmless ash. Was that really the best she got?

Suddenly, his nose twitched, as if smelling the frost forming in the air. He tensed up, springing away from incoming beam. It wasn’t enough, though, for the impromptu Ice Beam connected with his leg. He snarled, almost falling over from the stabbing pain. The cold seared his leg, the burning freeze sensation penetrating well past his thin pants. A chunk of ice had formed where the beam hit, hindering its motion. He slammed his broad tail into the ice, shattering it with the heavy blow. His deadly glare fell on the punk ass Dewott, the thirst for blood brimming in his eyes. A purple aura seeped from his skin, enveloping him in dragon essence. Roaring in red-hot fury, he Dragon Rushed his opponent.

Clenching his teeth, Vorpal curled up to brace himself for what was coming to him. Clamping his little fingers around the vial, he made sure to do his best to protect it. The ice pellets were a valuable tool in helping him learn how to master Ice Beam, which he knew he'd definitely need later.

Heat roared over his battered body, scorching his fur just a tad bit. Heat was accompanied by the full force of the dragon move. Vorpal gave a yelp of agony before the heat died down and he surrendered to becoming knocked out and useless, but before doing so, allowed himself one last thought.

What if that idiot Lux died because I had not been strong enough to protect him...?

Rain, meanwhile, watched this whole thing with horror-stricken eyes. She scooted up against the far wall, Mattie held firmly in her arms.
She didn't know what to do. Sure, she was half Eevee, but she'd never fought anyone or anything before!

Mattie was obviously trying to get away from her, but she feared for him. When the Victini girl threw the wooden objects around her house towards the new boy-towards her as well, by default-she flinched, her grip weakening.

The Teddiursa growled then, springing ut of her hands and towards the new boy. He was furious. His master was terrified of these strange people, who'd randomly come in to his territory in the first place!

He opened his jaws wide, revealing sharp little teeth that demanded justice, and aimed for the dragon-boy-thing. Heck, he didn't know.

He just knew he had to get this stranger away from his master and his house!

The fur on her ears pricked, feathers ruffling at his words. So what if she was weak? She wouldn't faint easily! She had way too much luck for that. Nope, she was going to be just fine. Jayden stuck out her tongue, the childish act being her first response. Her second response didn't matter just yet as so much happened in so little time. She watched as the Teddiursa attacked, along with... Vorpal, was it? Oh, wait, was Vorpal losing? That wouldn't do!

Jayden quickly went invisible, scurrying over to the water type. With a smile on her face, she quickly tapped his head, giving him some of her power. Once done, she turned to face Kane, taking in a deep break. When she exhaled, she released a white fire with a red-orange flame spiraling around it. Overheat would probably burn down the house if she missed, but oh well! Ehehe...

So, to say in the least, Kane did not give a Rattata’s ass about the Teddiursa, whose teeny teeth didn’t even bite through his pants. He was more focused on Jayden, who apparently decided to grow a pair. He threw his hands in front of him, guarding his face from the blunt of the heat. Despite being quite durable and slightly fireproof, the acrid scent of burned fabric wafted up to his sensitive nose. What really irked him was the bit of singed flesh mixed in with that. Oh, and the radiating pain from, you know, an Overheat. Luckily, fire wasn’t very effective against dragon or there would have been some serious damage. He dropped his aching arms, snarling at the other Gijinka. If she was just going to be tossing out energy to revive the idiots, he was going to get real annoyed, real quick. Better take care of that. He opened his mouth, emitting a Hyper Voice, his shrill cry powerful enough to send damaging sound waves at Jayden.

Hansel and Gretel - Page 2 Empty
PostSubject: Re: Hansel and Gretel   Hansel and Gretel - Page 2 EmptyMon Sep 17, 2012 10:32 pm

Vorpal was suddenly back in the waking world. Sound. Color. Voice. Noise. Color. Rush. Rush.

RUSH.

RUSH.

RUSH.

Scream. Pain. Nothing. EVERYTHING. The energy forced him to his feet. It was as if something else was inside of him, like the insane amount of pure energy was his puppet strings. There was something else there now.

The Dewott's pupils grew to an immense size, taking in every single little detail of everything. Time seemed to slow down as he was taking it all in. Heat on his face. Glittering coldhot sharp glass powdered the floor. Furniture was ripped apart, smoldered, and obliterated. The smell was outrageous.

Kane's Hyper Voice hit him like a train. Clutching his ears, he screamed in rage; why had that girl forced him back into battle? But... He... He could deal with this. He could. Vorpal's eyes began to glow, and he could feel his body begin to draw moisture from itself to gather in his stomach. It flooded his mouth and dripped everywhere.

The Hydro Pump on steroids split the sound waves like a freakin' missile. Picking up the vial, he crushed the glass in his palm, absorbing the frost through his skin. Broken pieces were deaf on Vorpal's ears as they clattered to the floor in an unheard melody.

Hydro Pump became frigid.

Then Hydro Pump became ice.

Mattie, quite outraged that his attack did not work, opened his jaws slightly, allowing the shadowy power within him to sharpen his fangs and enlargen them. Time for a Crunch attack, eh? See how he likes that!

Unfortunately, the little bear didn't see the Overheat, nor the Hydropump made of ice. And since he was quite attached to Kane's leg, he was hit too. The power of the first attack singed his fur, but didn't hurt him too badly. But that Hydropump got him, flinging him against the wall with a loud yelp.

Rain looked up, terrified. "A-ah, pl-please stop!" she cried, curling her fingers in her hair and turning away from her burnt home. Where was she going to live, now?

Hansel and Gretel - Page 2 Empty
PostSubject: Re: Hansel and Gretel   Hansel and Gretel - Page 2 EmptyTue Sep 18, 2012 11:15 pm

Enhanced synapses sparked to life like wildfire, sending fervent messages throughout the Hydreigon’s body. Muscle fibers kicked into overdrive, pushing his speed to the limit. The incoming jet of freezing water rocketed forward, only the tiniest delay in the relaying of nerve signals letting the attack with the race. The powerful stream clipped his side, still strong enough to throw him into the wall like a doll. The impact buckled the wall into hundreds of pieces of destruction, exploding part of it into the yard and leaving the rest to cascade down as if made of liquid. Billows of dust flooded the remains of the room as that portion of the house, missing a key support, crumbled in on itself. The two hit by the attack, plus another Pokémon caught in the wrong place at the wrong time, were buried alive under piles of rubble.

When everything started to settle back down, and the shroud lifted, the collapsed section lay unmoving. Breathes were held all around, all wondering the fate of the three trapped. Suddenly, there was a movement, shifting wreckage around. A battered hand broke out, covered in scratches and already forming bruises. Pieces rained down as the person burst out, looking like he had been chewed up and spit out. The most noticeable injury was the red and blackened skin on his side, the high pressure and cold partially destroying the skin with one hit. He was breathing heavily, glaring intense hatred at the Dewott. He was going to make him suffer pain like he couldn’t imagine. And that Victini was going to pay, just as well, as soon as he hauled her back to the lab, even if he had to rip off those wings and drag her by her hair. His orders were just to bring her back alive. His boss said nothing about clipped wings. Something interesting fixed his gaze. Or, he could do something easier, and probably a lot more fun. A way to hurt that infuriating Vorpal than in any other way. Something that Jayden would help trap Jayden. Kill two Pidove with one stone.

He lifted his hand, using some of his remaining fighting strength to blast a hole in the half demolished roof with a Dragon Pulse. Sunlight streamed into the ruins of the home, its illuminating beams framing the unguarded body lying on the couch. With determination, Kane charged over to poor Lux, swooping him up carelessly. He smirked deviously at the Pokémon and the Gijinka, hissing in a sickeningly sweet voice, “You want him, you know where to find me.” His wings, battered but functional, unfurled and beat like the rhythmic pounding of a drum. He soared up and out of the hole like a fighter jet, the added weight not enough to ground him.

Hansel and Gretel - Page 2 Empty
PostSubject: Re: Hansel and Gretel   Hansel and Gretel - Page 2 EmptyWed Sep 19, 2012 12:32 am

Chaos was what laced the air with its hungry, violent spark. Shrapnel whizzed by, bounced off, and dug itself into whatever it could like a rabid army of live, miniature missiles. The mighty force was fire, steam, and water, blowing the house apart.

Vorpal was slammed back against the wall once more. His skull cracked against it; he knew he was in serious trouble now. He'd definitely feel all of this ten thousand times worse later. When the rumbling of a thousand individual avalanches and earthquakes of different sizes ceased and all that was heard was the soft sound of dust floating on the mess like soundless but deafening winter's snow, Vorpal opened his eyes to light brown, the light from the obliterated wall shining through.

Scowling, he threw the lamp shade off his head with a groan. He squeezed his eyes shut for a second before noises came from the rubble of the broken wall. The firey energy still kindled in his belly, the noises came to him, though slightly disoriented.

Blinking repeatedly and trying to get rid of the swirling images and double vision, Vorpal concentrated on the rubble from which the hybrid was now crawling out of. All of this was like a very, very vivid dream. He'd only recalled one event quite like this... One that'd been like a dream...

The memory of that snapped him back into it, but it was too late. Again. Kane's honeyed voice stung his ears and brought the poisonous taste of hatred to his tongue, spreading throughout his teeth and causing him to bear them in a snarl. Vorpal tried to get to his feet, clawing at the air forcefully and jerkily with a battered paw, the fingers splayed to the point at which they shook. The force from Kane's dramatic departure seemed to lock his muscles in place, forcing him to flatten himself against the wall once more.

Eyes stinging with frustrated tears and dust, Vorpal began slowly clearing off the things that he was covered in. He'd get that monster if it was the last thing he did. He'd get Daniel back. Then he'd allow himself to die if he needed to, perhaps.

Vi, being way behind the couch and away from the commotion, was completely fine. She lighted coughed as the dust rained down, batting some out of her blonde hair. Once everything had settled down she noticed she didn’t spot a certain green Pokémon. Forget the boy she hardly knew, where in the world was her Snivy? “Fleur?” she called out, eyes scanning the destroyed house. No answer. “Fleur?!” she hollered, worry creeping into her tone.

A pair of slitted eyes flashed open, yet saw nothing. By a stroke of luck, and some skill with vines, there was a pocket in the pile of collapsed roof. She felt somebody breathing next to her, the Teddiursa that lived here. In an instinctual response, Fleur had protected the other Pokémon. She ground her tiny teeth in overexertion as she pushed against the debris atop of them. With a great heave, she shoved against the mess trapping them, knocking a hole out. She shielded her eyes against the sudden burst of light, but was glad to smell some fresh air. She sprung out, ready to go after that infernal son of a bitch, but alas he was already gone. Frowning with a tad of disappointment, she helped the Teddiursa out with a green vine. “C’mon, you pitiful thing,” she said with a roll of her eyes.

Her Trainer breathed a sigh of relief at the sight of Fleur, glad she wasn’t hurt. Now able to get some piece of my mind on that matter, she could focus at the new task at hand. She stepped forward, taking on a controlling stature. “Alright everyone. What’s the game plan?”

Mattie whimpered softly, his muscles aching. After he was blown into the wall, the roof had collapsed on him, pinning him under the debris. Though, it wasn't as heavy as it should have been...

He jumped, startled, as a green vine became visible, helping him out. He felt a flush under his coat; the Snivy had seemed to hate him earlier, for trying to munch on the vines. "Th-thank you," he whimpered out before rushing to his trainer's side.

The eevee had slumped to the ground again, staring at her destroyed house as if in a daze. She instinctively wrapped her arms around Mattie, standing with slightly wobbly legs. Dust caked her from head-to-toe, but she was alright.
